Jag vill också gratulera
både Svenska kyrkan och Antje Jackelén. Låt oss nu sluta upp i bön kring henne.
Did we just
get the first Swedish Lutheran Archbishop electus not being born in Sweden?
I am just
asking. I don’t know the answer. The Church Magazine is reporting that Antjé
Jackelen has been elected the new archbishop of Church of Sweden. Could it be
that Antjé is the first Archbishop in Church of Sweden, who is not born in
Sweden. At least since the reformation. Is it significant? Maybe it is an
opening in a situation which I often find strange. Church of Sweden. Why? There
are many churches in Sweden. What makes our church so Swedish? Is it at all
preferable? Especially when the society at large becomes more and more
multicultural – which I like!
I also want to congratulate Church of Sweden and Antje. Let us unite in prayer around her!
